PAIN IS GOD'S MEGAPHONE

Rick Warren says that pain energizes and arouses us from spiritual lethargy.

There used to be times I thought that pain was punishment...but friends, it's not.

They are wake-up calls from God, not because He caused them (although He has the power and divinity to).

They are arrows pointing us back to Him, not because He is mad at us, but because He so madly, recklessly and deeply loves us and wants time with us.

May the pain you and I may be facing today bring us to grow in intimacy with the One who created and sustains us, not draw us further away.

He is the ultimate Healer.

Rest is the Product of Productivity

We have become a culture where busy is synonymous with productivity, and rest is equal to laziness or not making things happen.

The opposite is true, and burnout and breakdowns are real.

Rest and productivity became a healthy cycle, versus the unhealthy burnout one.

When you rest, you become more productive. And when you're productive, you need the rest from all the hard work.

Physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually.

So even if you're bedridden from symptoms and "physically resting", how much are you allowing your mind and heart to rest from painful thoughts? How many times are you allowing yourself the space to be still in meditation and prayer?

See how much more productive you can be when you take rest as seriously as you do with your daily grind.

Something I have gotten SO much better at this year! When I work, I work hard. When I rest, I rest hard.

You weren’t meant to carry it out on your own

When you have God-sized dreams and goals, you’re going to feel inadequate.

You weren’t meant to carry it out on your own.

When you try to, you probably feel more inadequate at some point the bigger the goals get, am I right?!

But by your side, you not only have God who is fully adequate, but He is MORE THAN enough.

Sister, He created everything and sustains everything!

He placed these big goals and dreams in you.

Your physical conditions can’t stop them.

Your mental conditions can’t stop them.

Your past can’t stop them.

Lean into the voice that tells you, “You got this, because I got you.”

You may feel inadequate.

But God is fully, more than, above and beyond adequate.
