Failures Strengthen You

failures-strengthen-you.jpeg

Failure is an 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘡, ππŽπ“ a person.

Peace πˆπ’ a person, and that person is π’₯π‘’π“ˆπ“Šπ“ˆ.

When you have Jesus through your failures (and your successes), you’ll have a peace that won’t crush you from the failures or fill you up with an arrogant pride with your successes.

Don’t let your failures and accomplishments, aka what you can’t and can do, define you.

These are 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘡𝘴, not identities.

Your identity, worth and value are found in who God says you are, and my friend, π’΄π‘œπ“Š 𝒢𝓇𝑒 𝒢 𝒸𝒽𝒾𝓁𝒹 π‘œπ’» π’’π‘œπ’Ή.

Living Out Of Purpose

living-out-of-purpose.jpg

It’s okay to feel grief and sadness for the things you can’t do, friend.

Question: are you wanting to do what π˜πŽπ” want or what π†πŽπƒ wants for your life?

When you do get a surge of better health, do you try to do as much as you can because you don’t know how long it will last? And then you want to get as much done while you can? So you do, but to the point where you crash and are out for days upon days?

Oh friend, I know that cycle all too well.

But what happens sis, is then you end up becoming 𝗠𝗒π—₯π—˜ symptomatic and then you have to rest even more!

Feel the grief and sadness of your limitations, but then the next time, reframe your thoughts and tell yourself you’re π˜Ύπ™ƒπ™Šπ™Šπ™Žπ™„π™‰π™‚ not to do certain things because you are π˜Ύπ™ƒπ™Šπ™Šπ™Žπ™„π™‰π™‚ to rest and restore your body so that you π˜Ύπ˜Όπ™‰ continue doing what God wants you to each day in a sustainable, long term way that π—΅π—Όπ—»π—Όπ—Ώπ˜€ your conditions, your body, and π—΅π—Όπ—»π—Όπ—Ώπ˜€ God and the purpose He has for you.

It may be an adjustment at first, but I promise you, it’ll stop the vicious cycle of the surges and crashes, along with the emotional suffering.

Instead, it will create an ongoing habit of living out your purpose and resting well that will leave you feeling aligned and confident with God, and feeling strong and healthy from the inside out!

We Can Choose How We Think of Our Conditions

your-conditions.jpg

We can't choose whether our physical or mental conditions stay or go. But we CAN choose how we think of it.

Imagine repeating these thoughts about our conditions dozens of times a day:

Anxiety and depression aren't a choice.

I wish this would just go away.

I am always suffering.

I can't stand the pain anymore.

It SUCKS to have _________.

Now all these thoughts may be true. Our conditions aren't a choice. It does suck to go through them, and the pain can often be unbearable.

But try repeating those above thoughts even just 5 times right now...

...it's miserable, right?! And they actually make the physical and emotional pain WORSE.

I'm not saying we have to think rainbows and daisies about them, but what we do think about them MATTERS.

And today, I want to offer you some alternative thoughts until you get to a point of seeing your conditions as life-long companions, because many, if not all of them, will be with us for the rest of our lives.

Anxiety and depression aren't a choice, but how I think of them are.

I don't like I'm experiencing this, but I am working on living with it.

I am always overcoming and persevering.

This is painful, but I can still live. OR This is painful, but I can't stand not living anymore.

It SUCKS to have _________, but I am working on still living despite __________.

Try repeating those a dozen times a day versus the first ones and although it may not bring unicorns...I guarantee you they will NOT feel as heavy or painful as the first ones.

Drop a πŸ’œ if you want to try some of the alternative thoughts this week to see if they serve you better! And share the second image to your stories for someone who may need it!
