The truth is, we will ALL do something to our kids that will hurt them, disappoint them and leave scars, and EVERY generation will blame the other for something.
This is inevitable and part of the human experience.
When you work on healing yourself, you’re actually able to be a part of the healing of your parents and previous/future generations too.
It’s a beautiful thing that ripples.
One of the things we are intentionally teaching our kids to do, even at Annabelle’s age is how to handle their emotions:
💜 That it’s okay to feel them in a healthy way and space
💜 That no one can make them feel something (and that their emotions are from their own thoughts)
💜Building that failure and suffering tolerance in a life and world where it is inevitable, yet we try so hard to resist both, which cause more pain and suffering.
This will matter whether they encounter loss, trauma (which I hope they never will) health conditions or any other struggle in this world.
Who is with me on being more intentional of increasing our own tolerances in these areas as well as future generations to come?!
