Self-Contempt

There is this belief that if we do what we love, we won't ever have to work a day in our life.

I know the intention behind this quote...and I agree with doing what you are uniquely gifted and passionate about.

But I've also seen the downside to this quote of believing that doing what you love will automatically dismiss you from challenges, failures and hard work.

This is where I disagree.

Even when you do what you love and what you are called to...it's gonna be hard.

It's gonna hurt.

There are going to be challenges, road blocks, LOTS of heart and mind drama, plenty of failure, and lots of trial and error...chronic illness warriors or not!

But it is the struggle, sacrifice and suffering that make the finish line THAT much more worth it.

Even the greatest historical figures, revolutionaries, disciples and even Jesus Himself were not exempt of these hardships and sufferings.

They kept their eyes on the end goal while they endured and continued taking action toward fulfilling their purpose.

For Jesus, the prize was you, friend. And if these dreams were put there by Him, He gave you Himself to see it through; He gives you what you need to endure and be victorious over the work.

Don't let the idol of comfort and healing stop you from making the impact you were created for.

Drop a 💪🏼 if you commit to letting go of complacent comfort to fulfill your purpose!'
