I admit, I'm late to hearing the details of what's been happening in the last 24 hours.
There is much to say, and way too many layers, regardless of where you're coming from.
But here's what I'll share today:
1) Listen, pause, pray, process, and pray again. So many voices, including our own. As we take in all the voices, remember His matters most.
2) Prioritize your soul-care and self-care. Yes, be informed, but protect your Spirit. Enemy is working....but SO IS OUR GOD! And He has finished ALL the work we'll ever need, so be still and rest as your mind, body heart and soul needs, friend. The work will be there and ready for you when you're in your well-rested state.
3) After you've heard more from Him with all that's been unfolding, ask Him what He wants you to specifically do next. This last year has shown us how much unrest, division, hate and so much more there is out there. What is God calling YOU to do specifically, in small things, every single day (and not just one post, one interaction, etc.) to be a part of all that's unfolded? This is going to be a loooong marathon, but His grace has brought it to the light at this moment in time.
Enemy uses comfort.
Enemy uses distraction.
Enemy uses lies.
Enemy uses division.
Enemy uses our most vulnerable thoughts and experiences.
Most important, cling to God’s truths.
Cling to His Word.
Cling to ALL things that are TRULY of Him. (Enemy is also good at making "truths" look like Truth.)
Cling to the people He's placed in your life that will love you & hold space for you on your ugliest days, and will point you back to the Most Beautiful Thing and Person after holding that space, so you can be grounded in His firm, beautiful and strong foundation.
This is not a time to be silent...but it is also a time to be intentional with WHAT we say, HOW we say it, WHO we are saying it to, WHICH spaces He's calling us to say it, and WHY.
Be still and hear His voice louder than others.
He never stops working.
We know He works ALL things for good, even when we don't see it or understand it. We've seen it time and time again, so we can trust in the unfolding and outcomes, knowing they are in HIS hands.
