Be willing to revisit your past

Be willing to revisit your past in a healthy state and in a healthy space.

We often want to avoid the painful parts of our past. But when we avoid or resist, the pain isn't fully healed. It either stays dormant, stagnant, or grows and manifests into other things, like anger, impatience, distrust, insecurities, etc.

Revisiting your past isn't for the intent to make yourself hurt more.

No, it is the exact opposite.

It is to HEAL from it.

It is to see the beauty and growth that came out of it.

It is to release the pain.

It is not a one time thing. It is a lifetime thing.

When we revisit, we get to decide whether it is time to let it go once and for all, or if there is more work and healing to be done from there to eventually come to a point where it doesn't negatively impact us.

But refuse to allow it to manifest in ways that don't serve you, and in ways that hinder you from becoming who God intended for you to be and the purpose He has for you. Refuse to allow it to hinder you from seeing who God really is.

Drop a 💪 if you want to start being open to courageously revisiting your past so you can heal!

Are you giving yourself a way out?

Are you repeating the word, "can't" in your situations constantly?

Yes, it's good and helpful to have a plan B, C, etc. But when your mind is already set on B and on...Plan A doesn't stand a chance.

Leave all your fears, doubts and lies when you enter your circumstances. Have confidence and peace in knowing that whatever our Plans B and C are, is already God's plan A.

So give Him everything you got and see what He does. The victory you'll feel walking through the front door is priceless.

Labor Day 2019

Happy Labor Day friends!

labor-day-2019

I keep seeing the meme of telling your kids to let you rest for the number of hours you were in labor with them...🤣

Real talk: parenting really is a labor of love.

Marriage is a labor of love.

Facing your fears, doubts & pain is a labor of love to yourself and to others.

Living out your purpose is a labor of love.

But just like labor....you go through all the pain and work, and in the end, you also get to see, feel and experience a joy that is so overwhelming and indescribable.

But before that overwhelming joy, the work had to come first. The pain had to come first.

If you do get the privilege of seeing some or all of the outcomes, you will know it is SO WORTH IT. And even if you don't get to see them, what you get to experience on the other side of laboring and overcoming is already worth it.

May you rest and refuel today however way that looks for you so that you can continue running the race and purpose ahead with love, strength and endurance.
