Pain in Different Forms

As a #chronicillnesswarrior , going through physical pain is one thing. Mental and emotional pain can be a whole other battle and demon.

You feel hopeless.
You feel helpless.
You feel like no one understands.
You feel it's easier to isolate and not have to put on a brave, smiley face.
You feel alone.

But sister, isolating yourself may seem easier and less painful temporarily. But long term, it becomes even lonelier.

The emotional and mental pain that comes with physical pain was far greater for me when I isolated myself for a long time.

As hard as it is to face the music of the physical pain of chronic illness outside the home...loneliness, mental and emotional pain is harder for me being alone for a long period inside the home.

What is easier for you to deal with? Physical pain? Emotional pain? Or mental pain?

Self-Care Matters

When life gets too cold, there are different ways to warm up, friend.

If you saw my stories the other day, before I turned on the heater, I put on a sweater, had socks on and grabbed some tea. (Per the order of the hubby, @amontem šŸ¤£)

When LIFE gets too cold, you can get warm with:

šŸ’œ Community

šŸ’œ Music

šŸ’œ Word/Prayer

šŸ’œ Other Self-care

Some of mine is @friends and processing my thoughts and emotions healthily of why Iā€™m struggling.
What are some of yours?

Extraordinary

You are made for extraordinary things, and for an extraordinary purpose.

I know it's scary to face your insecurities, to face rejection, and failure.

It's scary to face the future not knowing the outcome, especially since so many things have happened in your past.

But doing the "extra" things to be mentally and emotionally stronger is a gift and fight worth fighting for.

You are chosen. You are beloved.

Praying you believe this today regardless of the circumstances you are facing.
