Sometimes I wondered where God was during my pain and flare-ups.
I wondered if He could hear me.
I wondered if He even cared if He did hear my prayers, especially when the flare-ups wouldn't stop.
“When you suddenly find more of God, then you know you’ve succeeded.”
And sister, this quote has often been more true in my flare-ups, my pain, rejection, confusion, trials and suffering.
As hard as it is to go through it, they have always been arrows pointing me back to the greatest gift I could ever ask for.
What is your pain trying to show you more more about yourself?
What is it trying to show you more about God?
Honor the thoughts that show up as doubts, fears and questions. Entertain them for a bit, even. But then remind yoruself that those are simply thoughts.
Once you do, you can transform those thoughts and open you heart more to this possible gift...and see how it can change your life for the better.
