When Someone You Love Is Hurting...

Sometimes words aren't needed when someone you love is hurting.

Sometimes it's just your presence, your hugs...and even your willingness to emotionally eat crap with them as they are in their valleys (or at least offer it to them if you're not able to).

Sometimes the best support and advice is NO advice, but powerful silent prayers.

"Then they [Job's friends] sat on the ground with him for seven days and seven nights. No one said a word to him, because they saw how great his suffering was." -Job 2:13

Marriage & Chronic Illness

Your spouse may not understand what you’re going through.

But also, you may not understand what they are going through seeing you with pain.

While it’s tempting to get frustrated, feel not cared for and unloved because they don’t understand...that will only leave you BOTH feeling frustrated, not cared for and unloved.

However, compassion and love will ALWAYS lessen the frustration, and slowly but surely, start increasing the amount of care and love you both will feel.

Love always wins.

You will need a lot of it to understand and be compassionate to yourself, your pain, to your spouse, and to their pain.

And love makes it all possible...

Mom Life & Chronic Illness Life

Sometimes you may wonder how you can be a good mom with all these symptoms and flare-ups.

Do the best you can with your kids and chronic illnesses.

You were entrusted with their lives.

You were chosen to be their mom, even with your conditions.

With telling them Mommy has owwies, they still may not fully understand...but God does. And He still chose you.

Rest in that.

Do your best.

Be kind to yourself.

Love them fiercely.

And don’t forget to love yourself fiercely.
